Rival X offers an engaging and straightforward gameplay experience for two players. The game revolves around creating strategic patterns such as The X, Plus, or Five-in-a-row. Each pattern, when formed solely with a player's X-pieces, rewards five points. However, the inclusion of Wild X-pieces in the patterns results in fewer points being awarded. The objective of the game is to be the first player to reach fifteen points.
These game patterns introduce various dynamics such as the ability to nullify points from your opponent, gain extra moves, combine patterns for higher scores, discover exciting scoring opportunities, and even secure an instant victory!
